Axial Vector™ Engine Corporation Files Patent for Piezoelectric Fuel Injector

Aug 22, 2005

PORTLAND, Ore., Aug. 22 — Axial Vector™ Engine Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: AXVC) announced today that it has filed a patent application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The application is titled 'Piezoelectric Liquid Injector.' The invention will be used to supply fuel to an internal combustion engine that produces significantly greater horsepower and torque, on less fuel, than conventional engines of similar size. These engines will be suitable replacements for existing engines in a number of industrial categories.

Conventional Fuel injectors supply pressurized fuel to each cylinder and are controlled by pulsing the injector on or off hundreds of times per second. However, they are limited in their range of usefulness and typically are a compromise with regard to optimum fuel/ air ratios. In comparison, our Piezoelectric Injector uses 'State Of The Art' technology and modern ceramic materials that expand or contract according to the electrical voltage applied. This provides infinitely variable flow rates and superb atomization of the fuel regardless of the type (Diesel, JP8, JP5). Our Piezoelectric Injectors are just one part of the unique technology that allows the Axial Vector Engine to make more power, using less fuel, than conventional engines.

'Considering a barrel of oil is over $60 and a gallon of gas is approaching $3, we are excited to file a patent for an invention that relates to increased power, using less fuel, in the Axial Vector Engine application. This patent will protect our intellectual property and build value for our shareholders,' commented Dr. Raymond Brouzes, President of Axial Vector Engine Corporation.

About Axial Vector™ Engine Corporation
Axial Vector™ Engine Corporation is a publicly traded company (OTC Bulletin Board: AXVC) that owns, develops and licenses proprietary intellectual property regarding unique internal combustion engine technologies. We are using these technologies to develop a new and exciting smaller and lighter internal combustion engine that produces significantly greater horsepower and three times more torque, on less fuel, than conventional engines of similar size. The internal combustion engine as we know today may never comply with mandated pollution standards and meet the strong demand for cleaner and far greater fuel-efficient engines. We see the Axial Vector ™ as the engine design that will comfortably meet these challenges and more.

Key entry markets for the Axial Vector ™ engine include a number of specific military and industrial applications. Additionally we are developing a family of electric power generators (GEN SETS) incorporating our unique Axial Vector ™ technology. The GEN SETS will consume less fuel per unit of electrical power output and are considerably smaller than any known internal combustion engine generators.
